I have been on Xanax, Halcion, and all kinds of different anxiety and depression medication for over 4 years. I never had a problem with anxiety before…( I had a heart attack when I was 27) before the doctor discovered I had a heart attack they put me on all this medication, and now I can’t get off. I’ve been in an inpatient hospital 3 different times now. This last time the doctor took me off of all my medication and put me on Clonapin. I did really well on that but he only gave me a script for 2 weeks for detox purposes (he said). Now I am out, and I’m not doing very well. I found another rehab that said they will accept me in and get me regulated with my clonapin (I just have to find a way there… it is out of town.) I just want to feel good and be able to live my life. How can I cope with this especially if I can’t stay on clonapin? It was a 99% blockage in my left coronary artery.and it was clonazipam. Thanks Dr.MX something to try and look into I guess.

Don't you get angry when no one tells you - hey , we'll dive you this now to calm you down but then you'll have to be weaned off that too? Most mums who take antidepressants for post natal depression are never told they may never get off them . The drug companies are the only ones smiling . Anyway - you have been through the roughest of it now that you have no clonapin in your system - I gather the doc gave you a reducing dose . Yes you feel like crap - you need to be in a safe enviroment with caring people . Ring your doc and put it in his shoes first - after all he must have had a plan after the 2 weeks . If not - get to the clinic - ring a charity who may pay the cost of transport . Don't stop here you have come so far - reach out to the doc and failing that ring the salvos or Drug arm or whoever you have - get to the clinic

Hi Tom.I would like to help you but I am short of some information. Is it Clonazepam that you are taking? And is it heart attack (Myocardial Infarction)? It is blockade of heart's arteries. At your age it might be MVP or mitral valve prolapse, It makes you feel anxious and you feel your heart flutter.Long term clonazepam has its own problems like dizziness and depression, change in behavior etc.I think if its MVP it is curable by a surgery. On the other hand, if its heart attack it might be a post-traumatic stress working on you. You might need some psychological assistant and evaluation. Don't hesitate. Its important that you live your life as you plan.Remember, every problem has its solution. You just have to find it! Best luck!
