I find that I cannot talk to anyone in public places without getting very, very uncomfortable. I shake and start sweating when doing something as seemingly simple as checking out at the grocery store.I have tried Zoloft, Lexapro, and Wellbutrin and have seen no results whatsoever. Only the side effects. Obviously Xanax is the most well known medication and works on everyone, but it seems like taking that daily should not be done. Are there any drugs that are much better at relaxing a person, but not quite as addicting as Xanax?

Not sure, but maybe your doctor would know that. I suppose there are some doctors on answers however. Maybe they can help you.

Best"drug"is volunteer work. All of these people are there out of love and will not reject you if you are shy. It's a really good way to get accustomed to interacting with people.
