I have a couple of baby-boomer friends that have had accidents or back problems. My lady friends has gone to the extent that she will call to see if we have any Vicodin in the house left over from my husbands heart surgery! The lady has been acting very depressed lately. We have a man friend that was in a motorcycle accident and has been on Vicodin for two years. Recently he has been real negative and grouchy instead of his loveable easy going self.

I would not have them in my home Ive stood by and watch my sister die from taking to many . She never could get enough everyday more, more The last year of her life she would only leave home long enough to get more , She would pay top dollar. And worst of all these so called Dr's, hand them out freely. When any of us would say something to her about it MY Dr's. gives me the prescription for them

The first post was a great answer here is my 2 centsSounds like your friends have a legitmate reason to take vicodin................I think the problem is poor pain management............That is the doctors fault.your girlfriend may not be getting enough vicodin from her doctor...for a month and scared to ask for more.....your other friend may need a high dose of pain meds..both may need massage, maybe try acupunture and many many other ways to help the pain.......Everyone is so worry about addiction a lot of good people live in pain every day that they do not need too..Doctors are scared to keep there patients out of pain they my get flaged as a Doctor Feel GoodWhy should someone have to stay in bed or cry half the day....because of pain but scared to ask the doctor for more pills beacuse the two you get for the day maybe taken a way if your doctor things you are addictive he will take your pills a way then you can just have a poor quilty of life one were you stay in pain..................They just may need more meds IMHOThis answer is going to get me a lot of thumbs down
