Default Are crying and whining part of Vicodin addiction? - 01-05-2009, 10:21 AM

I know my husband is hooked on Vicodin. He literally crys like a baby, and whines all the time.(Is this the signs)? He has become very touchy on any subject, and becomes violent. I have been putting up with this for four years. If he can't get that he turns to crack. Some one help me. Its costing my marriage. and now the law has been involved because of his violance. He complains constantly, always bitching about something. Complains and whines in the mornings about how much he hates to get up cause he feels like crap.

Get him to a doctor and have him reassessed. He may also need professional therapy. He sounds ill in more ways than one. He is an emotional wreck and extremely depressed by the sounds of your post. Was he always like this or is it only since Vicodin?Almost anything can become addictive and have its side effects, however not every drug agrees with everyone. You must let the doctor know how he is reacting.Good Luck.

Actually it can be a side affect of using Vicodin yet as well Vicodin is one of the medications used for depression He may very well be suffering from depression. From the sounds of it it's highly likely and he needs help. You need to call someone and / or get him to go and see someone about his depression. Of course he will deny it yet alot of dependency problems are due to depression of some form or other. You really need to make it clear and known to him that he needs to see someone about his feelings and actions and dependency issues. If he refuses actually when he's on his binges you are legally allowed to call a hospital and have him checked out and then he has no choice let him know that these are his options. If he chooses not to seek help then it's just too much for you and your sanity of course and your ready to walk away until he gets help. You love him too much to just watch him waste away and destroy himself.Let him know this.

My husband was a addict also, and it did cost us our marriage. Please look into AA and they can direct you where to go to better understand your husband and yourself. They will tell you that you are enabling him to get high. It might help you mead you marriage or to get out of this marriage like I did. Anna Nana

I'd divorce him and really give him something to cry about.
