Not very long...talk to your Dr. about "Buspar". It's a non addictive alternative to Valium and it worked better for me.

Why are you trying or do you think that you are? Every one is different, and a lot depends on how many and how much you take them. Anything over you're first regular prescription will head you into danger.

It could take just one pill,I guess it depends on how they make you feel.If you are high anxiety and you take one and it really worked for you,I would assume you would continue taking them therefore eventually becoming depend ant on them.Be careful and use them wisely if needed!Take care!

I've been a narcotic addict for 36 years, so I hope this helps, since I speak from experience.

Valium works differently for different people as far as addiction, but, if you are taking it every day, plan on having one H*ll of a time coming off. I've seen friends get hooked in a week and have seen some that it takes a month of daily use. It also depends on what Mg's. you're taking, your weight, your body composition -- a whole lot of things are involved in determining how long you can use them without getting hooked.

Anyway you look at it, your messing up your nervous system by slowing/calming it down. If you suffer from anxiety to begin with, you are going to be super anxious when you stop. There is the lack of sleep and grouchiness too. Some people have psychotic reactions to coming off any kind of trans. My counselors and doctors have told me it can take up to five years to get your system back to where it was before you started taking them.

JUST STAY AWAY FROM XANAX cause they will kick your butt in a couple days.

Good luck, and really try not to take those V's on a regular basis -- I know how good they make us feel and its hard not to enjoy them. Trust me, like I said, I speak from a long period of experience!
