I was given a drug test, and failed it. I had snorted 25mg of tramadol the day before. When it came back that i failed it, my parents questioned me on it, and i said i was around people smoking weed, they didn't buy it, so they plan on doing further testing on the previous test to find out what it was. What will it show up as, and what other kind of pill/drug/thing could i say it was? I know it is an opiate, and i have been doing alot of research to help me answer my problem, but i have been geting alot of diffrernet answers. I had wanted to say it was naproxem, would that work? Or Tylenol 3?I failed a drug test and the previous day I had snorted 25mg of tramadol. A few weeks before I smoked pot. But I had not done anything for quite some time before that. My parents plan to look further into my failed test though. I had told them it was just weed, hoping the tramadol would not show up. And also. It was a urine test.

Ultram is not a controlled drug and shouldn't have shown up on a drug test.

First off you need to be truthfull with yourself. Ultram is not an opiate and will not show up as an opiate on a drug screen. There is not even the chance of cross reaction with ultram. So, what else did you take? Perhaps what you were told was ultram was not actually ultram. I perform these tests on my pain management patients everyday and ultram does not show up. So there you go. If you want to contunue a destructive lifestyle, then you could tell your parents it is T#3 which is an opiate and would show up positive. good luck in your future, people die doing what you do, just something to think about.

Don't listen to these other answers. Tramadol is an opioid, but not an opiate, so it will not show on a drug test, nor should it cause a false positive. Do you know what drug you failed for on your test? This is important for figuring out what caused you to fail it. Most drugs are out of your system in 2 to 4 days, with the exception or marijuana which can stay in your urine for up to 30 days if you are a habitual smoker. I assume that you failed a urine test, correct? If your parents make you take another test, you will most likely pass it, just stay clean for the next few days until you have to take it. Naproxen will not make you fail a test either as it is simply a muscle relaxant, but Tylenol 3 does contain codeine which will make you fail a test for opiates.
