I struggle with severe back pain caused by a disk disease in my lower back, the medicine helps my pain a lot but i am very addicted to vicodin and percocet and also ultram, I want to quite but as soon as i do my pain in my back becomes unbearable, is there any other treatments other than surgery that will help me out because that is all i think about know is my next pill i am going to take.

I'm not sure, but you should take care of this problem before it takes complete control of your life. Go see your doctor and tell him everything you said here, If he can't help find a doctor or someone who can. Prescription addictions are just as serious and life threatening as cocaine, herion, and any other drug.

you need to talk to your doctor. they can gradually reduced the mg in your medication. they will basically ween you off of it.as for another option for the pain, i don't know.

You need to go to treatment and detox off all of it.. Trust me you may be in pain but I know someone who had it worse.. and went got off all that stuff... You can do it. But you go need help doing it. You need a stong mind. good luck

Have you given thought to acupuncture? I would talk to your doctor and if you get nothing to your satisfaction find another and another until they stop dumping the same old, same old nonsense doctors like to do this day and age.
