My cat has liver failure and my vet said it could help or hurt, but I heard that this is very helpful. I don't want to loose the poor thing. He means too much to my family.

The only thing I can suggest is grape seed extract it is worth a try and will not harm the cat. I have heard of some miraculus stories of how this has helped other diseases. 1mg or more per pound of weight (you can't overdose)
