I just found that my knees have NO cartilage in them due to the steroid use.It's bone on bone. I never knew nor was informed of any side affect such as this.I need total knee replacement in both knees. I have no insurance. Is their a fund or organization that helps people such as myself with this expensive surgery? I'm grateful for the care I have received with my health problems, but I'm a single mom and don't know what to do, about this. Any ideas would be welcome

i don,t know where you live dear, but some places has payment plans. here in pa. if you have no insurance, some places has what they call a sliding fee for the first time visit, then they can set you up on a monthly payment plan. you might check in on this where you live, maybe they have this too or something similar to it. good luck dear, hope you get better. i see by your avatar your name is shawnee! my daughter,s name is shawnee too, she,s 11 yrs. old.
