steroids is a very good medicine if used right.If a person is in terrible condition and near death,steroids can save their life.I have crohns disease and I had to take steroids to heal my condtion,I took them for about 3 months..i did not experience any physical dependance on them,however they can play havoc on your emotional system...i was having up and down emotions,as most people know you cannot cure crohns disease,which is a auto immune system disease,but it can pull you through when it is in the active stage..Also doctors give steroids for arthritis if you are having severe pain...The negative of this drug is that it causes you to blow up,your face takes on a fat rounded look,and your emotions are shot,however sometimes it is the lesser of the two evils......It can get you well while causing these side effects...After you get off them you go back down to your regular size,your face loses the rounded look and goes back to normal,and your emotions return to normal...
