Default Question about medication:? - 12-22-2008, 10:43 PM

I have been dignosed with OCD and Depression. I've been on Aropax, Luvox, Zoloft, and Clomipramine. The Aropax was not much help. The Luvox sent me into a black dog depression. But the real trouble came with the Zoloft. I terminated it weeks ago, and I am still experiencing psychotic/schizophrenic symptoms. All this Clomipramine has done for me is given me hypomania, agoraphobia, depression, heartburn, urinary obstruction and excessive sweating. And, of course, lack of sex drive and inability to reach orgasm. I've tried augmenting with Zyprexa, Seroquel, and Risperidone. To no avail. I've even tried self-medicating with Morphine, Codeine, Rohypnol, Serenace, Mogadon, and Frisium. My question is: Is it possible that the Zoloft has stuffed around with the chemicals in my brain so badly that it has induced a more severe illness than OCD and depression?Has the Zoloft pushed something somewhere it shouldn't be or there's a blockage or an obstruction? I'm very desperate for a solution.

Wow, you need to go back to your doctor and let them know everything you've done. I don't think Zoloft is the problem as much as you trying to self-medicate yourself with various drugs. That's what screws up all the chemicals in the brain. Let the doctor help decide which drug to try. For me, Zoloft and Wellbutrin work well, but Celexa also worked. Have you tried that?

I really think it has nothing to do with the medication. You just need to find the right combination of medication that will allow you to enjoy your life to it's fullest.I wish you the best of luck!
