Well, let's see.. I am 19 years old. I have taken percocet and hydrocodone before. I feel they do give me a boost of energy, they make me pay attention in class too. (college) I have so much pain and strain that goes on in my neck and head. Such as headaches.. stress.. etc. And if I take a pill it releives the pain. I'm not addicted and can go for days without a pill. But sometimes I feel like they are a life saver when I have a headache or any other ache. I know if I go to the doctor they will think I'm crazy for asking... well what do you think?

I think you need to go to the Dr. and find out the root of the headaches. Percocet and hydrocodone are both addicting and you may not be addicted now but you could be very easily. You're too young to be in such pain....find out the problem and go from there! Good Luck!

These pills are a narcotic and are addictive. There are many other pills to take care of headaches, etc. I would talk to my Dr. about those. Unless you have a surgery or a very bad injury, they are not going to give you a prescription for them, and they don't give you refills on the current prescription.

You like the boost of energy and would one day become an addict if you get get hold of enough pills. There are plenty of non-addictive, non-narcotic pains medications for headaches/migraines. The doctor will think you are drug seeking if you go in there and ask for narcotics and don't want to try anything else.

That's a hard question to ask. I would leave out the information that both make you pay more attention in class -- if you say that, the dr. may prescribe Ritalin or another ADD drug instead of the opiates. Both are very addictive, so it's good that you can go days without taking either one.I don't think any doctor will think you're crazy! Don't worry about that. When you speak to your doctor, focus on how intense the pain is, how frequently it occurs, and how well the Percocet and Vicodin relieve the pain. I have the feeling the doctor will not want to prescribe both; you may end up with the Vicodin, since it's not as strong as the Percocet. (I know from having taken Vicodin for over 2 years for osteomyelitis of my right hip; after those 2 years, the Vicodin just didn't work any longer, so my doctor switched me to Percocet, which I still take today, almost 6 years later.)Good luck!
