i have been taking vicodin , 7.5 , they just aren't taking care of the pain anymore.have only had about 5 hours sleep for the last 2 nights due to back pain. my husband lost his job back in dec. we are now waiting for his cobra to come into effect so i can go back to the specialist. But until then i have to do something to take care of the really bad pain.I do have an appt . with my family doc tomorrow , but he isn't sure what he can do to help considering my problem is a pinched nerve, he may just give me stronger pain pills until my cobra comes into effect next week I just can't suffer that long without some strong meds.i just need to know that this won't kill me tonigt and i will be happy to know the answer soon.

lol, wow. you are stressing way too much about the pills, percs are fine. I've taken many. I don't think you will need three, maybe try one and then one and a half, see how you feel. they're strong so one should work, but three will not kill you. you will get really drowsy, but your pain will be gone. just plz try taking one first, and see how it works, and then gradually take more, you don't want to take them all at one time, everyone reacts different to pills, so three for you could be alot more then other people, good luck

Yes. If you are tolerable to it, maybe two will work. Percocet knocked my mom out after her hysterectomy and she was only on 1/day. Vicoden and Percocet (I believe) work in different ways. If you are tolerable to Vicoden, try a percocet and see how it goes. I just wouldn't want to see you O/D and have my EMT buddys at your house the next day!Hope you feel better!Jeremy

Are you and all the other answerers nuts!? Never take more than the recommended dosage! People die taking drugs without a Drs. Script. Percocet can react badly for some!
