My sister takes percocet for fibromayalsia, she takes it daily and has used 100 pills since sept. I feel this is too much and that she is addicted to it, yet it has been prescribed to her by her Doctor.Any opinions would be appreciated.
If it has been prescribed to her you need to ask her doctor about this. It is addicting. If she is in pain it could assist her to live more normally. It was manufactured for this purpose. Sometimes medication is neccessary. I lived on 150 vicadans a month at one time. I no longer need them. I no longer take them. Speak to her doctor.
It is hard to say. I used pain meds for back pain. Using the meds was better than dealing with the pain. It was like you had a new life. But it does get addicting if your pain does go away. If her pain is for long term then do not worry about being addicted because it is better to be without so much pain. In the long run it is best to be off of the meds. Too many side affects while using pain killers. I have had two back surgeries and feel good now without any meds but when I needed them it was so important to have them.
