I'm very sorry for your situation. I know what you're going through. Sadly, we can't just buy a cure or take some over-the-counter drugs. If it shows that she has severe withdrawal symptoms, it usually means that she's a physical addict. There are two types of addiction. Physical and Emotional (or Mental). My advice to you is to get your friend to a Rehab that provides Methadone that equals to the milligrams of drugs that she uses. That way, they can slowly wean her off of the drugs. What occurs often is that rehabs do not provide enough medication for their patient, thus making them physically suffer. Then, in order to get rid of the pain, they'll go back to using illegal drugs. Her parents should not restrict a detox to her, because denying her the care that she needs - simply because they're angry - will force her to take any means necessary (from stealing money, to running away... etc) to obtain cash and get drugs.Drug addiction is a serious illness, but it isn't one that can't be conquered. Sadly, the only things that can help with the withdrawal is by her taking the drugs she was taking beforehand, or by getting medication such as methadone. Might as well go with the legal drug. But this is a long process, it might take her at least a year or two to get through the treatment, even though her insurance may only cover week-long detoxes and or minimal stays at rehabs.

Wow, I have been through the same thing with my daughter, believe it or not, the best thing is to give them nothing, when my daughter was having her bad times, i just held her and told her I loved her. There was a few times I did give her advil 2 of them , but from being a opiat abuser, her teeth are so rotten . But I have found out that just love works the best, She told me off quite a few times when she was having her"real bad moments"but when it was over she apoligized, It took her about 3 days to get to start feeling better. She had been to rehab twice also, but the love works best, or at least it did for us, good luck and god bless

HELLO FRIEND........First of all, you must have allot of heart, detoxing someone, without this girl's reputation, is tough enough. I'm sure the first thing that come's to mind, is if you might be biting off more than you can chew......No Offence....Like I said in the beginning, you should be commended for taking on this kind of challenge, this girl is not going to be a willing participant, forget about her stomache, if you intend to do this, try to find a mutual friend, a person you both know. Another woman would be the ideal partner in this undertaking, together, you stand a better chance of getting her through it. As far as what to have onhand for her needs........Tampons,or pads, some women have been known to"spot"during withdrawal, contrary to old wives tales, she's not going to be gorging herself with chocolate. Cookies, fresh fruit, soup, crackers, on the"over the counter"stuff, Excedrin PM, Advil.....whatever, I wouldn't recommend it, as a crutch, if she has a headache, thats a different story.GOOD LUCK!!.....................LATER............

See if there is a methadone clinic near you. They can help. Listen to what everone is tell you about detox at home. Coming off heroin (which is basically what all opiate based drugs are) is very dangers
