Default I am looking for remidies to help with morphine withdrawal? - 01-05-2009, 05:15 PM

I have been using a number of pain killers over the past 9-12 months and no longer want to take them, however, I tried to stop taking the morphine and became violently ill. Does anybody have any suggestions to help me?

the best way is to go to a anti toxic clinic and have them as sit you in cleaning your blood and getting the toxins out..in the mean time drink lots of teas such as green tea with honey and you can not stop cold turkey you should ween your self off otherwise your system will go into shock..if you go to a holistic pharmacy they have many remedies to as sit you..if you go to a middle eastern market they will have certain distilled waters that will help you cleans your blood..you will experience lots of chills an sweats and weakness you have to be strong and you have to sweat it out..drink lots of citrus juices and the best thing you need to do deal with this matter serious..its not easy and it will need lots of SUPPORT..god bless and keep you ..you are doing the right thing

please listen carefully - go to the hospital.! now! you need medical attention - a detox! withdrawal from depressants can have very, VERY severe effects. i'm not trying to scare you, but depending on your dependency, that is - the doses you're used to, what your body has become accustomed to - you may need to be in a medically controled environment... a detox! even if you're not sure, better to be safe than sorry! believe me, i know!

I have to agree with the others. You need a monitored detox program for your own safety. Once you are in one of these programs there are complementary health-care options that can assist with your recovery.
