When I was on regular pain pills (loracet,vicodin,etc.) it didn't affect my sex life any. When I started using Oxy's, it actually improved my sex life. It was hard(no pun intended) to achieve an erection but once I did, I could stay hard and last as long as I wanted. Now that i'm using methadone, i'm lucky to even get an erection and if I do, an orgasim is almost impossible, say once outta every 3, 4, maybe even 5 tries. I'm 30 years old and am in pretty good physical condition. I've been abusing opiates for about the last 12 years. Any opinions on Viagra and how it reacts w/ methadone?

Speak with you doctor about this it not a good idea to mix meds without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

32 and no problems with my wienie. But cocaine, and its out of commission. I haven't screwed with that for about a year or two now.

sounds as if origanilly got what they call a prescription addiction in which you took farther, very serious and should think on asking your doctor to change medication as well as telling he or she you have an addiction they may ween you offf or offer guides to rehabilatation

Jason, are you taking any other medications such as an SSRI for depression or an ADD or ADHD for attention defecit? The methadone is reacting with your vasodialators and constrictors wich allow blood pressure to flow into your vasal ducts inside your penis.Viagra or Levitra should work on a temporary basis, but you should really get yourself clean before taking on any sexual relations. Hang in there and be careful with the methadone because you can become physically addicted to that as well. Hopefully you are under medical care and they will be tapering you off the methadone soon.Stay away from all forms of Opioids or Opiates, they will ruin your life, your families, cause you to lose employment and possibly even kill you.Best of Luck!

You may need another Medication for your brain dysfunction.You are physically,mentally,and spiritually bankrupt.You need to be thinking with sobriety.You are thinking while you are all screwed up.Get off of the hard drugs.This is your first concern,not sex! Interaction is not bad but contact with Dr before you decide to take Viagra or another ED med."Patients using Viagra should be advised of the potential for prolonged erections during acute intake of opiates, and to contact their physician if problems occur. The interaction may not occur during chronic use of opiates".Good luck!
