It is given to Heroin addicts only as far as I know. Also, from what I know people get addicted to Methadone as well. Its really trading one addiction for another.

No it does not. It just a way for that person to not do any other form, way, or drug. Methadone is the legal way to get hi. But the person will be addicted to methadone. If you want to break free from heroine you have to break clean. Go through the withdraw symptoms etc. Life is not easy but who told you you should do heroine on the first place... EFIL

Methadone is substitute for heroin, so no, that is not getting addicts off drugs is it? Then you have a methadone addict laying about instead of a heroin addict stealing. That is your improvement. I am a proponent of'cold turkey'style. It's what I used 11 years ago.
