Personally I think we should follow the Netherlands example and legalize magic mushrooms but not LSD (although LSD should be decriminalized). I've tried both, and shrooms seems like a safer alternative as the psychological effects are milder and shorter lived.Hallucinogenics also might hold the answer to curing addiction ironically, so I think research should be done into such applications. Interestingly enough, LSD was legal a lot longer than a lot of other drugs deemed'dangerous', mainly because the CIA was interested in using LSD as a truth serum.

Its'too easy to slip into someones drink. I used to prefer dosing myself as needed back in the day. It would be better to leave that one under control as a potential psychological WMD. For the uninitiated it may be a frightening experience without certain psychological precautions. If you wish to continue in the vane of certain CIA experiments then you may find out what it is capable of accomplishing in the extreme. Besides most of it is so heavily adulterated with amphetamines as to be virtual poison to the already un intoxicated. Beyond that, in a proper environment it may not be such a bad deal- let it remain as such.

Government propaganda and religious fanatics who are ignorant to such chemicals, same as marijuana, in fact marijuana has been proven to save the lives of people who have to go through chemotherapy and cannot eat due to the radiation. The marijuana helps them keep food in their system and thus keep their strength and not die.You see the war on drugs is big big business. When a drug is illegal the government gets to"steal"billions of tax payer dollars to fight this"war". Basically this is free money for the government, allowing them to use this false pretext to spend billions in other not so"approved''areas. Plus there is the fact that the government has been proven to have worked with organized crime in the past to do its"dirty"work. Allowing organized crime this huge revenue allows the government to have a"special"force that will do their bidding.Amazing, tobacco (number 1 cause of death in the US) and alcohol (number 3 cause of death) are legal while such harmless things like LSD (or even LSA) are illegal.Finally, the pharmaceutical companies are the largest richest companies in the world. There are thousands of plants and drugs that have many medicinal properties that are less dangerous and addictive then the stuff the pharmaceutical companies pump out. However because these plants and drugs are cheap and effective they're never given proper research by these companies nor the government. Why? MONEY!We are but rats with numbers that pad these rich companies and government agencies wallets.
