Check out NIDA. They have all the data about drugs broken down as well as other info. Especially pay attention to"Assessing Drug Abuse within and Across Communities. Its 155 pages that you have to download with adobe. But it is well worth it.

There is only one death so far directly attributted to LSD. Reported in the book Psychedelics Encyclopedia by Peter Stafford is the case of a young man who took about 320,000 micrograms intravenously. The average dose is about 125 micrograms.I have heard that the man believed he was injecting amphetamines.The LD-50 (amount needed to kill 50% of test subjects) of LSD for humans has been estimated to be about 14,000 micrograms, making it one of the safest drugs we have, illicit or legal.
