Default Hydrocodone-speckled vs white? - 01-20-2009, 02:31 AM

I had been prescribed Hydros for a back problem. Some were speckled (green or blue- can't recall) and then white ones. It seems that the speckled ones eased the pain better and their affect lasted longer than the white ones. Is there a difference? Or just the manufacturer possibly?

white ones are probably generic brand and most of the time a generic brand is not as effective as name brand

You could look up your pill on the internet and see if there is a difference. There are websites that have images of different pills and dosages, or you can search based on what your pill looks like. I'd look it up to be sure it is what it is supposed to be!It is true that with different formulations, one may work better for some people than others, but the generic should be as effective as the name brand. Should be I say, in reality something maybe they are not.
