First off, I don't know why someone is telling you that there is no narcotic pain reliever with ibuprofen in it, cuz thats completely untrue. Vicoprofen is hydrocodone with ibuprofen, but it only comes in a 7.5/200 strength, so its a little stronger than normal vicodin. Other than that, your only other options with hydrocodone are lortab asa which is 5/500 with aspirin, or you can try norco's which come in 5/235 and 10/325, so, like if you're taking 2 vicodin 5/500s now, you can take 1 norco 10/325 and your tylenol intake drops from 1000mg to 325.What I would do, if I were you, is to be completely honest with your doctor. Tell him that the vicodin are helping with the pain, but are giving you some undesired side effects and you were wondering if he thought it was the hydrocodone or the acetaminophen in the vicodin, and if so, if maybe you could try something else. I mean, being completely honest is the best way to go, and he can give you your options, and if he questions you at all about potential abuse, you can tell him that you'll bring the pills in with you to show you havent used many. Just be honest, and he can help.Other than hydrocodone, your other options would probably be oxycontin (which he may not want to give since it's generally one of the more abused drugs) or demerol, which, while it may be a tad weaker than hydrocodone and doesnt have any NSIADs in them, it also may produce some different side effects such as, euphoria, decreased concentration and motor skills, so, it may or may not be better.Edit: I just saw your additional details about Percodan, that doesn't include ibuprofen, its oxycodone and aspirin.
