I just had a breast reduction, and I have been taking percocet. However, having had kidney stones and other problems in the past and taken tons of pain meds, i have built up a really high tolerance or pain medication. Dilaudid is basically what has worked best. So the percocet wasn't working, and i called my doctor and told him...so he prescribed Lortab (500 mg). I had been taking 2 of the 325 mg Percocet at a time. Which is stronger? I feel like he just prescribed me an even weaker med?Please answer somebody. I am in so much pain and just want to go to sleep.Well the only time I don't get any answers is when I really need an answer fast. Oh well.. I don't even know where to find it on the internet. Please somebody help me.

well precocet is higher up on the pain pill scale. Its consider a level 2 narcotic. and the lortab is on a lower level but can be equally strong. It all depends on you tolrence. No matter what make sure you eat before you take th e lortab it can hurt your tummy.

Percocet is a stronger med than Vicodin (Lortab)! The strength I think you have is 5/325 which translates to 5 mg oxycodone/325 mg of acetominophen. The Lortabs that you have are 10mg which would be stronger. Two of the Percocet should do you just fine. Sometimes, taking additional Tylenol with it seems to help boost the effects of the medication.

I have taken all these meds..............the Percocet is stronger than Lortab.........that's what i take now but my pain dr. has ordered Fentenyl patches which are STRONGER than morphine. Maybe you could call your dr. and ask if he can order these for you??????????????? Good luck...you WILL be out of pain with these patches......................

I think they both may be close but the Percocet may be a little stronger. Just make sure with either one, you do NOT take additional Tylenol because both meds have some in it and you could overdose on the Tylenol and can cause more problems.
