Last night I was in a car accident and the dr gave me a shot of dilaudid...my arm is still very red and sore from the shot. not just the normal sore from shots either. it hurts when i move my arm and it feels like there is a golf ball under the skin in the muscle. is this normal? the guy who gave it to me also nicked the vein and made blood squirt out across the bed. could this a reason i hurt so badly? the skin is VERY red around the injection shit. too...someone pleas ehelp figure this out

If he nicked the vein then that would explain your symptoms. Hopefully no more bleeding will occur. If you think it is getting bigger, then put pressure on it, or ice or both. Once you know the bleeding has definitely stopped (the golf ball is not getting bigger), then start putting heat packs on it to make it shrink and go away.
