Firstly let me state off I'm not suicidal or do I have a drug problem.Last night I had some fun I popped 340mg worth of codeine, and I got crazy itchy and red and pinpoint pupils, blusish fingernails and I couldn't fall asleep. I know I took a little too much, so I told my mom because I was so ichy and red man it was crazy. I was ichy all over my body and bed too, my head and back and chest were the most red/ichy though.Today my hair is falling out not too much, but a lot more then it normally should, I'd say about a palm full. Is that supposed to happen? what should I do?and please don't give me the go to the hospital talk.I'm 15 btw.and i posted it here because I like this group of people. and i got the codeine from when I had surgery...and they weren't expired they expire 2008/11/30also i got the pinpoint pupils really soon but the itching didn't start until a lot later. ;shead not bed

Itching is a normal response to codeine and any pain medication. The hair I would assume stress relatedsince you got scared. I hope this taught you something.Dont do too much of anything.

You may have an allergy to codeine - in addition to taking WAY too much! An allergy is something that can develop...you may not be aware of it the first time you take it, but your body builds up an allergic response and eventually you can have a real problem. Stay away from anything with codeine in it...and stop doing crazy doses! Your hair is not the only thing you could loose! kjl

yeah, you took a little too much. i took 210 mg and i was freaking out! no itching though. you were itching because you took way too much. if and/or you ever do those drugs again, you need to be more careful. do your research. plus, you need to be careful with what drugs you use. like i tried coricidin and then read about all the people who died on it because they wanted to get high. something about the other ingredients at extreme levels can be lethal. i didn't take that much but you get the pic. give yourself a day or two. you'll still be out it today. make sure you rest. in the future, make sure you have nothing you HAVE to do the next day.
