Default Cutting back on codeine? - 12-19-2008, 10:03 AM

I am a codeine addict. After having surgery a few years ago I became addicated to the stuff. I quit for a year then relapsed and started doing it regularly again. I'm getting better - went from doing 296mg twice a week and gradually made my way down to 80mg once per week. I know most people would say I should do the cold turkey thing....and physically I probably could because it's not I'm dependent on it on a daily basis or anything. But I still want to be allowed to experience that buzz each week, even if it's just once. What do you all think? My tolerence is coming down and eventually I hope just 16 or 24mg will do the trick. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thx.

I think it may be time to have a little chat with Betty Ford.

well if you just do cold turkey and go like that for a few months, to a year a few mg will do the trick..try drinking a beer really really fast or a tilt... or 20 shots of caffine you will get a buzz

Codiene buzz? Why not drink a beer or something if you feel you have to get a buzz off something. Why not get a buzz off life?
