My suggestion is that you speak with your doc about this...take it as Rx's, don't take more of it. If you need to go off of it for some reason, your doc will take you off slowly so if you do get a tolerance for it, you won't get with drawls from not taking it. That's the best I can do for you....good luck with it!!! It can really help if you need it.

You can become addicted to most anything, even pharmaceuticals that are considered healthy. It's very easy to become dependent on anti-anxiety medications because you'll feel "wound up" and anxious when you stop taking them.

That's why it's important to work through what's making you feel fearful and use the medication as an aid. Take it as it's prescribed (for sleep, panic-attacks, as needed, etc.) and no more than that. See a therapist and try to find activities to occupy your mind and strategies to cope with your emotions.

Good luck!

Hi,

It is always best to talk to your GP about this or even a Counsellor. Your GP will monitor how much you take, if its the right medication for you and remember to be honest with your GP so he may treat you effectively...

Good Luck...

If you take avian and take only for what you need it for then you will find with therapy that you end up taking less and less as you get better and gradually you ween yourself off of it. Now folks who love it and abuse it have problems. It's in the same group as Manx and Valium. I've taken them all and weened off when not necessary for me to take and I did just fine w/ therapy. You can do so too w/ therapy you'll not be needing as many avians as you currently do.
