Hi my long term boyfriend of 8 years is currently on the waiting list to start rehab as soon as a bed is available. We also have a 3 1/2 year old son and i'm curious what this will be like for him and the rest of the family. hes willing and wanting to get help. hes been in the hospitals many times for pancreatitis but can't stop.

will we be allowed to visit and should we? i dont know how we will surivive moneywise but i want him around a long time and his son is his everything. any advice or help would be appreciated. thanks

Hi Masuba

You are asking if visiting someone in rehab is allowed. Well, rehab centers not only they allow visits, but even encourage it, they see it as a lesson for the visitors to learn more closely about the drugs and alcohol destroying affects by seeing them with their own eyes.
Me myself, as a former rehab center patient, can tell you that visits though its allowed, most of times it is not recommended for the patients, as it distracts their focus and might get them depressed, but still its very depend on the patient himself.
